This role ensures smooth, healthy turf and attractive landscapes for both residential and commercial clients. It requires technical skill, physical stamina, and a strong awareness of safety protocols. Hiring for both Eldridge & Clinton Iowa Divisions Key Responsibilities & Duties Operate and maintain a variety of mowing equipment, including riding mowers, zero-turn mowers, push mowers, and edgers, safely and efficiently. Perform precise mowing and edging of lawns, pathways, and landscaped beds to meet established client and company standards. Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance, such as blade sharpening, grease fittings, and filter cleaning. Clear and dispose of grass clippings, leaves, litter, and other debris to maintain clean and professional grounds. Monitor turf health and promptly report any signs of pests, disease, uneven growth, or other concerns to supervisors. Collaborate with the landscape team to support broader maintenance and site enhancement projects, including planting and mulching. Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation practices near equipment, traffic, and public areas. Notify supervisors immediately of any equipment damage, safety issues, or concerns regarding job site progress. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. Demonstrated experience operating mowing and edging equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude for routine equipment care and troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail to ensure clean and orderly landscape results. Physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions; capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Familiarity with common lawn care and turf maintenance techniques. Commitment to safety practices and effective team collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating zero-turn mowers, pulling trailers, and executing site transport procedures. Knowledge of local turf types, seasonal care patterns, aeration, fertilization, and basic irrigation principles. Relevant certification or training in landscaping, machine operation, or workplace safety. Working Conditions Positions may be full-time or seasonal, with hours varying based on weather conditions and lawn growth cycles. Work is primarily conducted outdoors, often in proximity to pedestrian zones and property traffic. May require weekend work and the ability to respond quickly in emergency landscaping situations.
