This full-time seasonal position focuses on pruning, weeding, mulching, bed edging, and general landscape upkeep to ensure properties remain professional and well-maintained throughout the growing season. Key Responsibilities (Not limited to): Primary Duties (Typically April-November): Perform routine landscape bed maintenance including weeding, edging, mulching, and debris removal Prune shrubs, ornamental trees, and perennials according to proper horticulture practices Identify overgrowth, plant health concerns, and pest or disease issues and reports to supervisor Maintain clean, defined bed lines using hand tools and mechanical edging equipment Remove dead or damaged plant material and maintain seasonal plantings Safely operate hand tools and power equipment such as pruners, hedge trimmers, blower, and edgers Ensure job sites are left clean, professional, and customer-ready Follow all safety procedures and proper lifting techniques
Seasonal/Additional Duties:
Assist with spring and fall cleanups, including leaf removal and cutbacks Support mulching and planting crews as needed Assist in other landscape or maintenance crews during peak workload periods Winter Duties (Typically November-March): Operate snow removal equipment, including snowplows, skid loaders, snow blowers, and salt spreaders Shovel and de-ice sidewalks, entryways, and driveways Monitor weather and respond to snow and ice events promptly (including early morning, night, and weekend shifts) Ensure safe and accessible properties during snow events
Qualifications:
Prior experience in landscape bed maintenance or pruning preferred but not required Ability to follow detailed instructions efficiently with minimal supervision Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Work Schedule:
Full-time seasonal hours: schedule varies based on workload and weather Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required during peak seasons
