Duties Performs maintenance of facility, such as mowing, string trimming, clearing brush and debris, seeding, fertilizing, maintaining ball fields, and field striping Maintains, repairs and cleans facility equipment Picks up and collects trash throughout facility. May operate and maintain hand tools, power equipment, and other light equipment. Performs regular maintenance of trees, shrubs, and perennial and annual flower beds, including planting, weeding, watering, mulching, deadheading, and pruning. Set up facilities for special events or rental groups. Keeps equipment, shop and storage areas clean and well-maintained. Reports any damaged or broken safety or mechanical equipment or vandalism. Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned. Weekends as needed Entry Requirements and Skills Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods and under adverse weather conditions. Physical ability to perform various types of physical exertion including, but not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving objects of up to 50-150lbs with assistance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public. Shall maintain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Iowa.
