This role involves performing a wide range of groundskeeping, landscaping, and maintenance tasks to ensure the aesthetic appeal, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with landscape maintenance, and a commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor areas. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Conduct tree trimming, hardscape installation, and snow plowing as required to ensure safety and visual appeal. Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure proper watering schedules. Identify plants accurately and apply pesticide management techniques following safety standards. Maintain grounds by performing gardening tasks such as planting new flora, mulching, and weed control. Follow all safety protocols diligently during outdoor work to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations. Assist in the installation and maintenance of outdoor hardscape features like pathways, patios, or retaining walls. Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal or seasonal planting to uphold year-round landscape quality. Requirements Proven experience in outdoor work environments with knowledge of groundskeeping and landscaping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, lawn care equipment, irrigation systems, and excavation machinery such as excavators. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, pesticide management, and landscape maintenance techniques. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Strong understanding of landscape design principles including hardscape installation. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions. Prior experience with snow plowing or winter landscape tasks is advantageous. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
