Job Description

Seasonal Groundskeeper The Deerfield Park District is seeking part-time seasonal team member to join our Parks Department. If you are a self-motivated and responsible individual who enjoys working outdoors, we encourage you to apply! This position involves general maintenance of park grounds, facilities, athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaped areas. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Must possess a valid driver's license Basic knowledge and ability to operate landscape equipment such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other small hand tools Ability to work in cold weather; must be comfortable shoveling and willing to learn snow plowing Basic understanding of occupational hazards and safety practices related to grounds maintenance and construction Must be able to work weekends and evenings when required, particularly during weather-related events Commitment to following all safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for staff and park visitors
Hours & Pay Hours:
Generally 7:00am-3:30pm (flexible) — positions available immediately - looking for individuals that can work 2 or more days a week.
Pay Rate:
$17.25-$18.25 per hour Benefits Access to the Sachs Recreation Center while actively employed
