$21.24/hour plus $2,080Annual Grounds Stipend Qualifications:
Ability to safely operate job-related vehicles and equipment Mechanical ability to maintain equipment Ability to work early morning hours and weekends to shovel and plow snow, and spread salt Valid Illinois driver's license Ability to regularly lift and handle items weighing at least 50 pounds, occasionally more Ability to effectively read written instructions, read manuals, signs and product labels This work demands physical effort such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, raking, shoveling, and liftingResponsibilities:
Maintains grounds of high school property by: cutting lawns, using riding or walk-behind power mowers; aerating, fertilizing, slit seeding and topdressing turf using proper equipment; picking up litter; emptying trash; and trimming bushes, pruning trees, and edging sidewalks, using a variety of hand and power tools Maintain sports fields by: painting field markings; keeping fields edged and free of weeds; maintaining infield dirt, home plates and pitching mounds; and preparing fields for games including some work on Saturday mornings Maintains water management through automatic irrigation system or manual hose and nozzle Snow Removal Performs other duties as directed by supervisorFLSA:
