Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape Technician who is multi talented in both landscaping and interior repairs/ construction to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty and health of various landscapes, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and operating a range of groundskeeping and landscaping equipment. Your expertise in lawn maintenance landscape maintenance, and equipment operation will contribute to creating inviting outdoor spaces that meet client expectations and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in diverse environments while honing your skills in landscaping and grounds management. We are also a maintenance company for higher end apartment units and do the occasional remodels and interior work providing year round stability. We are also planning to start building new construction homes in the next few years so if diversity is what you're looking for this may be the perfect for you! Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to maintain healthy and attractive landscapes Operate power tools, hand tools, lawn care equipment, and groundskeeping machinery such as excavators and skid steers Zero turns etc... safely and efficiently Identify plants, trees, weeds, pests, and diseases to ensure proper care and pest management practices. Conduct hardscape projects including the installation of pathways, retaining walls, and other outdoor features including decretive rock Brick edge etc... Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or seasonal plantings as needed to keep landscapes pristine year-round interior maintenance/repairs as needed Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of groundskeeping and landscaping practices Mechanical knowledge related to landscape maintenance equipment operation and troubleshooting Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, pesticide management, and irrigation systems Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lawn mowers, Zero turns, and other landscaping machinery safely Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining landscapes effectively Valid experience in gardening, tree trimming, snow plowing, or hardscape installation interior property maintenance is preferred but not mandatory able to work well on a team and be a motivated self worker able to lead a team with good direction but also take direction and follow given instructions communicate well with employer fellow employees and costumers be able to operate trucks with trailers and have knowledge and ability to back up trailers safely and efficiently (being able to operate a stick shift truck is ideal also) willing to take charitable corrective criticism and adjust to the instruction well also willing to give charitable corrective criticism to help your fellow worker succeed be able to lift heavy objects push heavy wheelbarrows and work in the hot cold and mild wether with a smile (as much as possible) Join our team if you're passionate about transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful environments want opportunities in growth and are looking for a consistent year round employment!
