Responsibilities Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, pruning trees and shrubs, and planting new greenery to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently. Perform hardscape work including the installation of pathways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Identify plants accurately to ensure proper care and maintenance; recognize pests and diseases for effective management. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and injuries. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing and winter storm cleanup to keep properties accessible year-round. Requirements Previous outdoor work experience or grounds maintenance background is preferred; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment are highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping machinery safely and effectively. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices is a plus. Strong adherence to safety protocols combined with physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and working in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail in landscape care tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and hardscape installation.
