Job Description
Tree Service Groundsman - Job Description A Tree Service Groundsman is responsible for supporting the tree crew by maintaining a safe and efficient worksite. Duties include dragging and stacking brush, feeding wood into chippers, operating chainsaws and other equipment safely, assisting climbers and bucket operators with rigging, fueling and maintaining equipment, directing traffic when needed, and keeping the job site clean throughout the day. Groundsmen also assist with tree removals, pruning, stump grinding, debris hauling, and loading trucks. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically fit, and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Previous tree care or landscaping experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to lift heavy materials, follow directions, work as part of a team, and maintain a positive attitude. A valid driver's license is required, and a CDL is a plus. Opportunities for advancement into equipment operation, climbing, and crew leadership are available for motivated individuals.
