Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Groundskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the pristine appearance and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing landscape maintenance, turf care, and groundskeeping tasks to ensure our grounds are safe, attractive, and well-kept throughout the season. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment, supporting the upkeep of athletic fields, golf courses, and landscaped areas. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in grounds maintenance while contributing to a vibrant outdoor environment. This job will typically range from April through October, could possibly include November. Responsibilities Maintain athletic fields, school grounds, and landscaped areas through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering using irrigation systems and lawn care equipment. Operate power tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping machinery safely and efficiently. Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of soil, plants, and equipment to support landscaping projects. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or hazards; perform repairs or report issues promptly. Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols for pest management and weed control when necessary. Operate company vehicles for transportation of tools, equipment, or materials around the site while adhering to safety standards. Maintain equipment through cleaning, basic repairs, and scheduled servicing to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf management is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential. Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely following safety guidelines. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual labor, and prolonged periods of standing or walking outdoors in various weather conditions. Familiarity with pesticide management practices and safety procedures is a plus. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds maintenance tasks.
