Parks and Public Lands, Underground Utilities, Refuse, or other varying departments

Assigned Supervisor
PAY GRADE
07-08 Hourly
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Under general supervision performs work to maintain grounds around various City parks, golf course, cemetery, horticulture, or Utility facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Mowing, trimming, spraying, and weed-eating Moving trash cans and emptying trash General Maintenance of Facilities as needed Cleaning Restrooms
SUPERVISION-RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
None
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must be minimum 16 years of age, high school graduation or GED, current drivers license, and experience in operation of tractors, riding mowers, and weed eaters.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform physical work including lifting and carrying 25-50 pounds regularly, and up to 75-100 pounds occasionally Ability to make minor repairs to tractors, mowers, weed eaters, and spraying equipment. Ability to stand, walk, sit climb, bend, crawl, kneel, twist, push, pull, reach, grasp, and perform similar body movements; Possesses hand/eye/foot coordination adequate to operate Grounds maintenance equipment Ability to work in all weather conditions, including but not limited to, rain, extreme heat, and wind Ability to follow oral instructions Participate in City safety program To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
