Waters Edge RV Park and Marina, 274 Tacklebox Lane, Murray, KY 42071 (on-site) Read this first This is a work-for-site exchange. You receive a full-hookup RV site with utilities and Wi-Fi in exchange for up to 20 hours of work per week. There is no hourly wage or salary. If you need a paycheck, this position is not a fit. You must own a road-worthy RV in good condition and live in it on-site. The park does not provide a camper or any other housing. You must be able to arrive in Murray, KY by a certain date and commit through at least 6 months. About the park Waters Edge is a 54-site RV park and marina on Kentucky Lake, with an upper property called the Ridge. It is part of Glowfly RV Resorts, a family of RV parks in Tennessee and Kentucky. What you will do This is mostly outdoor work, with other tasks assigned by the park host as needed. Mow, string-trim, edge, and blow off all lawn areas, the field at the Ridge, walkways, and drives. Grass is kept under 4-6 inches, and no clippings are left on hardscape. Control weeds, brush, and overgrowth along fence lines, tree lines, and trails. Clear limbs, storm debris, and litter. Keep sites, fire pits, and common areas guest-ready. Help with seasonal work, including leaf cleanup and winterization. Report equipment problems and safety hazards the same day. Other duties assigned by the park host. The park provides the equipment and fuel. How the role works You report to the on-site park host. Your assignments, questions, and schedule all go through the host. No purchases, repairs, projects, or outside vendors without approval in advance. Unapproved work or expenses are not reimbursed. Hours are logged on a weekly timesheet. Hours beyond 20 per week require approval in advance. Grounds are inspected regularly. Anything below standard must be corrected within 48 hours. The first 30 days are probationary. Your stay on the site depends on the work being done to standard. Your own site and RV are kept to the same standard expected of guests, and all park rules apply to you. Requirements You own an RV that is road-worthy, well maintained, and insured. Photos, registration, and proof of insurance are required before an offer. Experience with commercial or residential mowing and trimming equipment. Able to work outdoors in heat, cold, and uneven terrain, and to lift 50 lbs. Valid driver's license. Reliable cell phone, and responsive to texts from the host during work hours.
