Overview:
We are seeking a landscape laborer who can physically perform demanding outdoor work to maintain lawn for Barksdale Air Force Base. You will be mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, and operating equipment like blowers, zero turn mowers, weed eaters and trimmers. We are looking for someone who possesses physical stamina, is reliable, and able to work in varies weather conditions.Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Mowing, weeding, tree trimming, hedge pruning, edging, blowing, etc.
- Operate vehicles, zero turn mowers, edgers, trimmers, etc.
- Clear and remove any debris and/or waste from landscaping area
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Qualifications:
Mandatory- 2+ years of ground maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of lawn equipment capabilities and operations.
- Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation.
- Possess a valid Federal Compliant driver's license with an acceptable driving record. [Driver's License/ID must be federally compliant (Identified by a star in the top right corner)]
- Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident. Preferred
- Technical experience and/or training in small engine repair.
- Possess basic mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge with regards to small gasoline and diesel engines and various landscaping and grounds keeping power equipment.
