Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Apartment Groundskeeper to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a residential apartment community. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors while ensuring the property remains clean, attractive, and well-maintained. Essential Responsibilities Maintain the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the property. Pick up trash and debris throughout the community, including parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, and common areas. Sweep, blow, and pressure wash sidewalks, entryways, and other exterior surfaces as needed. Assist with landscaping duties, including mowing, edging, trimming shrubs, weeding, watering, and planting seasonal flowers. Clean and maintain amenities such as the pool area, clubhouse, fitness center, laundry rooms, and dog park. Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by removing trash, cleaning patios, and assisting with light make-ready tasks. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, vandalism, or property damage to the maintenance supervisor. Assist the maintenance team with general labor and property improvement projects. Ensure all tools, equipment, and maintenance areas remain clean and organized. Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, janitorial, or apartment maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent walking, bending, stooping, and standing. Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
