About Oakbourne Country Club:
Founded in 1955, Oakbourne Country Club is one of the oldest private, member-owned clubs in the area. Our championship 18-hole golf course, a par 72 spanning 6,898 yards, features mature oak-lined fairways, scenic water hazards, and impeccable course conditions. We take pride in providing an exceptional golf experience for our members and guests. Golf Course Maintenance We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Golf Course Maintenance Worker to join our grounds crew. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the beauty, playability, and overall condition of our golf course. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in hands-on work, and values teamwork. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Duties Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to ensure the course remains attractive and healthy Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and ensuring proper water distribution across the course Assist with turf management practices like aeration, fertilization, topdressing, and overseeding to promote lush green conditions Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify areas needing repair or attention, including bunkers, greens, tees, and roughs Use hand tools for detailed landscaping tasks such as planting flowers or shrubs and maintaining pathways or course features Support general maintenance activities including debris removal and equipment upkeep to keep the course in top condition Qualifications Prior experience or interest in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic turf management techniques is a plus Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to course upkeep Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment Physical stamina to perform manual labor including bending, lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating equipment Willingness to work some weekends and holidays Pass a pre-employment background and drug screen test. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
