Job Summary Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Lawn Care Attendant, where you'll play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing a variety of lawn and landscape care tasks, ensuring that outdoor environments are healthy, safe, and visually appealing. Duties Mow lawns using power mowers, ensuring even cutting and proper height adjustment for different turf types Operate landscape maintenance equipment such as trimmers, blowers, edgers, and hand tools to shape and refine outdoor spaces Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and weeds to support healthy landscaping practices Perform landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, trimming, planting, mulching, and hardscape installation Follow safety protocols diligently during all grounds maintenance activities to prevent accidents and injuries Assist with snow plowing and removal during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for visitors Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of lawn care and landscaping equipment operation Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, and groundskeeping techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction-related equipment used in outdoor projects Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management procedures Ability to perform irrigation system repairs and manage irrigation schedules effectively Outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence in various weather conditions Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and health assessment Basic understanding of hardscape features such as patios or walkways for integrated landscape design This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in grounds maintenance while contributing to the beauty of outdoor environments.
