Cambridge's #1 Garden Center is seeking some people to assist in running our garden center. Knowledge of retail, plant material such as annuals, perennials, indoor plants, and more is beneficial, but we're willing to train someone with a positive attitude. Our environment is fast-paced, team-oriented and customer-focused. We pride ourselves on exceptional quality and customer service and are seeking team members who want to contribute to our mission. Our store hours are 7am to 9pm Sunday through Thursday, and 7am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday. We are a 5-minute walk from the Davis Sq. T Stop. Weekends & holidays will be required. 1pm-7/8:30pm Closers & Weekend shifts Key responsibilities include: Cash handling and use of cash register; Providing outstanding customer service including answering plant material related questions, directing customers to merchandise locations, and helping select products; Working well in a team-oriented environment; Answering the phones; Re-stocking and merchandising under supervision; Organizing plant material and maintaining plants with cleaning/ pruning tasks; General upkeep of work area including cleaning and organizing; Lifting items that weigh as much as 50lbs repeatedly; Standing on feet for up to 8 hours Our associates must be friendly and polite and help our customers have the best shopping experience possible.
