In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment while supporting vessel operations and water transportation activities. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth handling of maritime equipment, vessel docking, and cargo management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in water transportation, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Assist with vessel docking and mooring procedures to ensure secure and safe berthing. Handle petroleum products safely during fueling operations, following all safety protocols. Operate cranes and water transportation equipment with precision to load, unload, or move cargo. Maintain cleanliness of the yard, vessels, and equipment to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct routine water transportation equipment maintenance and inspections to prevent malfunctions. Support vessel handling activities including rigging, boat handling, and trailer towing as needed. Follow maritime safety procedures rigorously to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with vessel mooring, vessel maintenance tasks, and watercraft fueling operations. Support customer service efforts by providing assistance to crew members and visitors when required. Experience Basic mechanical knowledge related to water transportation equipment and yard machinery. Familiarity with maritime safety procedures and vessel handling practices. Experience in cleaning, rigging, or boat handling is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to perform safe lifting practices and operate cranes or trailers safely. Knowledge of vessel docking, mooring techniques, and safety protocol adherence is preferred. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong teamwork skills coupled with a proactive attitude toward safety and operational excellence. Zodiac repair experience, a plus.
