Job Description Tidy Gardens | Ecological Gardener (Seasonal) Braintree, MA — Serving Hingham & South Shore Tidy Gardens is a small, professional organic gardening company specializing in detailed residential garden care. Our work is rooted in quiet, ecological practices — no chemicals, no gas-powered equipment, and no rushed work. This is a hands-on role for someone who values quality, consistency, and working outdoors in a calm, focused environment. The Role This position centers on maintaining high-quality residential gardens with care and precision. Work is performed both independently and as part of a small team across properties on the South Shore. Responsibilities Detailed hand-weeding and garden bed maintenance Fine pruning ornamental shrubs and small trees Planting and maintaining flowerpots and vegetable gardens Deadheading and general plant care Plant health monitoring and organic treatments Working independently at residential properties across the South Shore Who This is For This role is a strong fit for someone who: Takes pride in high-quality, detailed work Enjoys physical, hands-on outdoor work Works well independently without constant supervision Is reliable, consistent, and self-directed Notices small details and cares about doing things properly Experience Strong candidates will have several of the following: 2 + year professional gardening or horticulture experience Solid plant identification skills (weeds vs ornamentals) Pruning knowledge and proper tool use Ability to work efficiently without supervision High attention to detail and pride in quality work Experience with fine residential properties preferred Physical Requirements Able to lift 40-50 lbs Comfortable working outdoors in all weather Ability to travel independently between job sites Able to maintain steady physical work throughout the day Requirements Reliable and punctual Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Professional and respectful demeanor
Schedule Seasonal:
