Job Overview Join the ASAP Tree Care team as a Tree Trimmer/Groundsman and play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and beauty of the city's landscapes. In this energetic position, you will assist with tree care operations, including trimming, pruning, and removal of trees and brush. This paid position offers opportunities to develop specialized skills in tree rigging, equipment operation, and landscape maintenance while working outdoors in a collaborative environment. Duties Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal using chainsaws and other hand tools while following strict safety protocols Operate bucket trucks and other equipment to access high branches safely for pruning or removal tasks Support arborists with rigging techniques for complex tree removals or limb lowering Perform ground-based tasks such as planting, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general yard cleanup Conduct inspections of trees and landscape features to identify health issues or hazards requiring attention Follow safety procedures diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries Maintain equipment, tools, and safety gear in excellent condition for daily use Requirements Prior outdoor work experience with a focus on landscaping, or tree care is highly preferred Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal methods Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently; experience with bucket operation is a plus Hands-on experience with chainsaws, rigging gear, and other tree care tools required for safe operation Strong understanding of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and equipment use in outdoor environments Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy loads, climb ladders or trees, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day

Pay:

$29.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
