Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Per diem Landscaper and bring outdoor spaces to life with your hands-on expertise! This flexible, on-call position offers the opportunity to work in various outdoor environments, applying your skills in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment operation. As a key contributor, you'll help maintain beautiful, healthy landscapes by performing a variety of tasks that enhance curb appeal and ensure safety. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep grounds looking pristine. Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, lawn mowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Identify plants and troubleshoot horticultural issues to promote healthy growth and pest management. Apply pesticides and herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and weeds effectively. Conduct groundskeeping tasks such as leaf removal, snow plowing (seasonally), and debris cleanup to uphold safety standards. Follow all safety procedures diligently while working outdoors in various weather conditions. Requirements Prior outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools is essential. Ability to identify common plants, pests, and landscape issues confidently. Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and horticulture principles is a plus. Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation. Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to groundskeeping maintenance.
