Job Description
Gardens by Settie is looking for an experienced Fine Gardener (or very competent, fast learner) to join our Women owned team on the Outer Cape. We specialize in the thoughtful care of commercial and residential gardens and we are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of perennials, shrubs, roses and ornamentals and an experience with planting , pruning, deadheading, weeding, dividing, staking and seasonal garden care. An understanding of plant health, pests and diseases is a bonus. We install new gardens from original designs from gardens by Settie. We work alongside and coordinate with Hardscape contractors, builders, irrigation and lighting companies and other skilled trades. We are looking for someone who can pay attention to detail, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a small crew. We are not a traditional landscape company. We do not mow lawns and rarely use any power tools. We are hands on and plant focused. We are hiring now with the opportunity to work alongside our team through the reminder of this season. The pay depends on your experience and knowledge. Because we are hiring toward the end of our season (December) we can be flexible with the schedule. Our hope is that this Fall will serve as an introduction to Gardens By Settie for you and return Full time for the 2027 season (April).
