Job Description
Job Purpose:
To cut grass, trim, edge and clean grass areas, patios, sidewalks and roadways. To help maintenance staff with painting, transporting and minor maintenance repairs.Salary Range:
$16.00-$24.00 per hourEssential Functions:
- Cut grass on approximately 50 acres of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home using lawn mower, tractors and string trimmers
- To clean all areas around the outside of the buildings
- To help paint the exterior items and equipment around the Facility and grounds area
- To perform minor maintenance repairs
- Operate tractors for grass cutting and snow removal
- Perform duties required to meet emergencies and special occasions such as fire, storms, power outages, water breaks
- Responsible for knowing locations and general operation of critical equipment and systems
- Must be able to work effectively and harmoniously with residents, visitors and
- co-workers
- Perform other related assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be high school or vocational graduate
- Must have 2 years experience in general maintenance field.
