Overview Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Landscape Crew Member and bring outdoor spaces to life! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of maintaining beautiful, functional landscapes by performing a variety of groundskeeping and landscaping tasks. Whether working on residential, commercial, or public projects, you'll contribute to creating inviting environments that enhance community beauty and usability. This paid position offers hands-on experience in outdoor work, perfect for those passionate about horticulture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance. Duties Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to ensure efficient landscape care. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy. Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and management to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to support healthy growth and proper landscape design. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plant health while ensuring safety standards are met. Conduct hardscape maintenance including cleaning pathways, repairing patios or walkways, and managing other outdoor structures. Follow all safety procedures diligently during outdoor work to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and irrigation systems is a strong plus. Experience with pesticide management and application following safety guidelines. Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently in outdoor environments.
