Overview Join our dteam as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing a variety of landscape maintenance techniques and equipment. As a key contributor, you will help ensure that landscapes are healthy, safe, and visually appealing through hands-on work and adherence to safety protocols. Whether you're experienced in groundskeeping or eager to develop your skills, this role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in outdoor environments and enjoy physical activity. Responsibilities Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and excavators safely and efficiently Perform landscape construction activities like hardscape installation, planting beds, and soil preparation Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to support horticultural health and landscape design goals Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or additional grounds upkeep as needed throughout the year Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment operation including hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices such as mowing, pruning, planting, and pest management Ability to identify plants and trees accurately; familiarity with pesticide management is a plus Knowledge of irrigation systems installation, repair, and troubleshooting Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape features is advantageous Commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times during physical tasks involving equipment or hazardous materials Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently when needed This role offers an engaging environment where your efforts directly contribute to the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces. Pay:
$22.03 - $25.15 per hour
