Job Description
The Woodlands Club is a private, member-owned country club. We take pride in our greens! The department is looking for a grounds crew member to help with mowing, removing debris, snow removal in the parking lot. Early mornings!
Pay :
$20-25 per hour Monday-Friday with overtime in the summer, or if there is a big snow fall on weekends. Overview Grounds Crew is responsible for maintaining our beautiful golf course. Daily assignments may require operating various types of motorized lawn mowers, trash and organic waste removal (such as branches, trees, shrubs), as well as raking, shoveling, and plowing (if working during the off-season). Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including heat and cold. Hours Monday-Friday 5:30 AM- 2 PM; every other weekend 5:30 AM- 9AM Job Duties:
- Gather and remove litter and organic debris.
- Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as walking greens mowers, triple greens mowers, tee mowers, out-front rotary mowers, triplex rough mowers, push rotary mowers and trimmers.
- Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots, and spread salt in those areas (seasonally applicable).
- Report any unsafe or potentially dangerous equipment or situations found on the premises to the superintendent.
- Raking bunkers, weeding tree edges, assisting more advanced grounds crew with projects, as assigned.
- Additional tasks which assist with the labor and upkeep of golf course maintenance.
- Operations of company vehicle and utility vehicles may be required.
- Adhere to all The Woodlands Club safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent, preferred.
- Ability to bend, stand, lift, pull, and work overhead.
- Ability to walk and stand, continuously, for 8 hours or more, per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate motorized mowers (walking, riding, and industrial sizes).
