Job Description
Campground Maintenance Position Summary The campground maintenance role ensures the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests. This position supports daily operations by performing routine groundskeeping, facility upkeep, minor repairs, and customer‑service-oriented tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions, and takes pride in maintaining a high‑quality guest environment. Responsibilities Grounds Maintenance — Mow, trim, rake, remove debris, maintain trails, and manage landscaping needs across the campground. Facility Upkeep — Clean and restock restrooms, showers, common areas, and rental units; ensure all facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards. Repairs & Preventive Maintenance — Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment repairs; report larger issues promptly. Campsite Preparation — Inspect and prepare campsites between guest stays, including fire pit cleaning, trash removal, and site leveling as needed. Waste Management — Collect and dispose of trash and recycling; maintain dumpster areas; assist with dump‑station upkeep. Equipment Operation — Safely operate mowers, trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and small machinery. Guest Support — Provide friendly assistance, answer basic questions, and report guest concerns to management. Seasonal Tasks — Support opening/closing procedures, leaf cleanup, snow removal, and other seasonal projects. Safety Compliance — Follow campground policies, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines. Skills & Qualifications Experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and small equipment Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on feet for extended periods, and perform physical outdoor labor Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license is required Customer‑service mindset and positive attitude when interacting with guests Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak‑season schedules
