QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent Experience coaching/participating in football at the high school/college level Demonstrates dependability and promptness Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, parents and the general public with the understanding that confidentiality should be exhibited Strong Communication Skills Current CPR certification or willing to obtain CPR certificate
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities as directed by the Head Varsity Coach Cast a vision for program growth and development Plan practices that will be foundational for the development of proper team and individual skill development and training. Provide game strategy with the goal of competing in every contest. Develop a strong team atmosphere through positive individual and group activities, communication and coaching philosophy. Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, parents and community Assume responsibility for supervising students Effective and appropriate communication to students, parents, officials, and other coaches. Support our Youth Sports teams develop skills and passion for the game.

Cedar Springs Public Schools is a preschool through 12th-grade public school consisting of over 3,500 students and nearly 400 employees. We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). We are unique in that our schools are all located within a single campus setting with the exception of the Middle School which is located 1 mile south of the main campus.
