Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating pristine, inviting fairways and greens that enhance the golfing experience. In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for maintaining the beauty, health, and functionality of the golf course through expert landscaping, lawn care, and equipment operation. Your dedication will help ensure every golfer enjoys a smooth, scenic, and well-manicured environment to tee off and relax. Duties Mow fairways, greens, tees, and roughs using power tools and hand tools to achieve optimal turf quality. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, trimming, pruning, and weeding to uphold course aesthetics. Operate lawn care equipment such as trimmers, blowers, aerators, and hedge cutters with precision and safety. Conduct routine inspections of course features like bunkers, pathways, and water hazards to identify maintenance needs. Assist with gardening tasks by planting new greenery and caring for existing flora to promote healthy growth. Support overall landscaping efforts by applying horticultural best practices for turf health and landscape design. Requirements Prior experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments. Basic understanding of irrigation systems and lawn care techniques. Strong work ethic with physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. A team-oriented attitude with good communication skills to collaborate with other grounds staff.
