SALARY:

$17.96/hr This role involves hands-on maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Duties include minor carpentry and painting, light maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing belts, hoses, lightbulbs, and brushes), and courier responsibilities (e.g., operating a truck, cargo van, or tractor). Trash and snow removal from parking garage, sidewalks and riverfront. This position reports directly to the Manager of Building Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

including but not limited to: Provide consistent upkeep and maintenance of Museum properties, including specific routines involving mowing the lawns, planting and maintaining flower beds, and tending to the shrubbery areas. Reports and recommends landscaping needs to the supervisor. Plows or shovels snow with snow blowers, shovels, or tractors. Cleans exterior windows at a height of 25-30 feet. Performs miscellaneous outdoor maintenance duties at various museum locations, including but not limited to the Museum's parking garage, Voigt House, and the Mounds. Regularly inspects Museum properties and removes trash and debris. Uses gas-powered lawn equipment, as well as manual and electrically powered cleaning equipment. Cleans equipment after use and performs basic light maintenance on equipment. Follow safety protocols consistently and ensure compliance with

OSHA/MIOSHA

standards are adhered to. Maintains equipment logs and parts inventory records. Routine maintenance on equipment such as backup generator, dust collectors, RO units, sprinkler system, drain fire suppression system, assist with turning seasonal bib water, transporting of used oil to a licensed facility, etc. Monitors various Museum equipment for preventative maintenance and ensures maintenance equipment is working properly. Regularly conducts the delivery and pick-up functions for the Museum. Coordinates work with various outside contractors and volunteers. Ability to communicate using a two-way radio.
