Job Title:
Lawn Crew Lead Job Purpose:
The Lawn Crew Lead is responsible for assisting the Lawn Crew Manager in performing and overseeing lawn care services provided to the customers of Ground Force. This person will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.Pay Range:
$20-25/hourDirect Report:
Lawn Crew Manager Job Duties:
Report to work each day to ensure daily preparation of equipment and materials. Load all tools, gas and other necessary equipment/materials. Secure all equipment safely. Perform landscape and maintenance tasks on client's properties. Work in conjunction with Lawn Crew Manager to ensure the work contracted is implemented efficiently and according to the contracted specifications. Provide labor associated with the maintenance of all lawns and garden beds, including cleanouts. Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking and mulch installation. Unload/load equipment and material, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily. Assist in the performance of spring and fall clean-up Landscape bed maintenance to include mulching, pruning and weed control as required Recognizing and reporting problems with irrigation systems in lawns being serviced Keep work environments clean and safe Monitor lawn and turf management quality and report problems/concerns to Turf Manager Monitor inventory of materials and supplies and report needs to Lawn Crew Foreman Supervise, monitor and train assigned lawn techs in an effective manner Give input on performance of assigned work crew Complete all required documentation in a timely manner Perform and adjust weekly lawn lists as needed regarding weather related issuesOther Duties:
Basic routine maintenance of lawn care equipment and tools Wash dirty equipment and return to storage location. Report damaged or broken equipment to supervisor immediately and get parts on order Be available to assist other work crews as needed Communicate needs, concerns and/or problems to supervisor - resolve in a timely manner Adhere to all company safety practices, procedures and policies Maintain good communication and positive relations with co-workers, customers and the public Represent Ground Force in a positive manner at all times Other tasks as assigned or as needed. Snow removalRequirements:
High school diploma or GED 3-5 years' experience Current valid and clean driver's license Current DOT medical card Drug freeAbilities and Skills:
Ability to safely operate all assigned equipment and tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach and climb ladders Good communication and teamwork skills Good supervisory skillsWorking Conditions:
