Job Description

Are you passionate about horses? We have a beautiful, privately owned, small dressage facility and are looking for an experienced, responsible and reliable full-time Horse Stable Hand and Groundskeeper who can assist with maintaining our horses and facilities. Our facility is heated with a fully enclosed center aisle barn. We are seeking a highly qualified individual with exceptional attention to detail who is searching for a long-term position at a farm. We are a small barn community looking for someone who is a team player and enjoys working with others. The ideal candidate enjoys collaboration and conversation - not significant independent work. Job Duties Participate in the continual process of cleaning the facility Muck stalls/paddocks Feed/water horses/fill hay nets Turn horses in/out Monitor horses for injury and illness Assist with landscaping Assist with fence repairs Assist with other maintenance projects as needed Experience Required 3-5+ years of barn worker experience 3-5+ years of handling horses Ability to lift 50+ pounds without assistance Must have a valid driver's license Willing to learn how to operate a tractor and other small farm machinery Willing and able to work outside in all 4 seasons Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in Spanish Hours 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 1 hour onsite lunch break Six days per week (Saturday off) Benefits Salary compensation of $58,000 to $65,000, dependent on experience End-of-year bonus Weekly payment via check Double-time pay on major holidays Additional compensation negotiable for sharing night check duties
