Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Groundsperson, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring safety, health, and aesthetic appeal across our properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a variety of environments, utilizing your horticultural knowledge and technical skills to support landscape maintenance, tree care, and groundskeeping operations. Your expertise will help create vibrant, safe, and well-kept outdoor spaces that inspire and delight. Responsibilities Perform tree removal, pruning, trimming, and arborist rigging techniques to promote healthy growth and safety. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment safely for tree care and landscape tasks. Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with landscape planning and asset management. Conduct lawn care, planting, landscape maintenance, and general groundskeeping activities to uphold property standards. Execute plant pruning care and tree trimming with precision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Assist with rigging operations for large or hazardous trees using arborist rigging techniques. Support landscaping projects by planting new greenery, maintaining existing plantings, and removing dead or hazardous trees. Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure team well-being. Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or groundskeeping. Knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques. Experience operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or asset management is preferred. Ability to perform rigging for tree removal or limb lowering using arborist rigging techniques. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments. Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is advantageous. Excellent physical stamina for lifting, climbing, and working at heights in various weather conditions.
