About the Position GreenTech Companies is looking for an experienced Irrigation & Fertilizer Technician. Our ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in both irrigation and turf fertilization/weed control and can independently handle day-to-day field work. We plan to continue growing these services and eventually develop them into more specialized divisions, so this is a strong opportunity for someone who wants responsibility and room to grow. Irrigation Responsibilities Perform irrigation startups, winterizations, inspections, and seasonal system checkups. Diagnose and repair irrigation systems, including valves, heads, piping, wiring, controllers, and related components. Program and troubleshoot irrigation controllers and identify system or coverage problems. Communicate repair needs and job information clearly with the office and customers. Fertilizer & Weed Control Responsibilities Perform fertilizer, weed-control, and other turf-care applications safely and accurately. Properly mix, load, apply, and document products according to labels and company procedures. Identify common turf and weed issues and make sound field decisions based on site conditions. Operate and maintain application equipment and keep accurate service records. Experience & Requirements Previous professional field experience is required. This is not intended to be an entry-level position. Prior pesticide applicator licensing is required for fertilizer/weed-control responsibilities. If a previous pesticide license only needs to be renewed or reinstated, GreenTech may pay the applicable renewal costs. Applicants without a current license must still have prior pesticide application experience and licensing history. Must understand how to perform the work safely, efficiently, and with limited supervision. Strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, dependability, and customer communication skills are important. A valid driver's license and ability to reliably report to the Princeton shop are expected. Compensation & Growth $25

•35/hour starting pay for a qualified technician capable of independently handling both irrigation and fertilizer/weed-control work. $20

•30/hour starting pay for candidates experienced in one service area but not yet capable of independently handling both. Final starting pay depends on experience, licensing, technical ability, and the level of responsibility the candidate can take on. Opportunity to grow into a larger technical or leadership role as GreenTech expands these service divisions.
