Birch Tree Care is a company known for quality, customer service and lifestyle. We are located in the Twin Cities metro area and are looking for a Tree Ground Crew Member to join our team. DUTIES:
Operate and maintain all assigned equipment in an efficient, safe and economical manner; such as; Log Loader, Dingo, Skid-loader, and more. Complete time reports and other required paperwork. Organize from start to completion an operation within the most efficient time possible and to the satisfaction of the client. Provide quality customer service. Proper job site cleanup. Perform all other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Communicate by reading relevant manuals and materials, speaking clearly and distinctively when giving instructions and listening to comments. Communication is required from moderate distances (80) and while equipment is running. Understand and practice preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Promptly attend to customer needs and concerns. Recognize the majority of trees, shrubs and plants in the geographic area and apply the methods used to trim, remove, plant or carry out other vegetation management techniques necessary to perform the assignment. Operate trucks, chippers, cranes, aerial lifts, chainsaws, tractors, brush hogs, and other equipment necessary to perform the assignment. Organize and manage tree removal and pruning operations. Ability to work outside year-round in a wide variety of terrain and weather conditions.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma preferred. Driver's license required. First aid, CPR training. On-the-job training from previous job classification or another source.
MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and up to 50lbs. of force frequently and up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. The abiliy to exert enough force to lift own body weight up a rope into a tree. Reach (i.e.: extending arms, hands and fingers) and handle (i.e.: holding and grasping tools, limbs, etc.) and twist. Work with and around power tools and equipment (i.e. start and utilize chainsaws, chippers, tractors, mowers, brush hogs, sprayers and other tools and equipment as necessary to complete the assigned task). Balance (when using equipment), pull and push (i.e.: wheelbarrow). The ability to perform the desired tasks in the presence of distractions or work frustrations.
Offered compensation:
$20/hr - $30/hr Experience and License Requirements Class A License with Air Brake (preferred) (optional) Drivers license High school diploma preferred. (optional) On-the-job training from previous job classification or another source. (optional)
