This position is crucial to the success of the crew, assisting with ground-level tasks, equipment handling, and job site cleanup. The Groundsman plays a key role in ensuring safety and efficiency on every job site. Key Responsibilities Assist climbers and crew leaders by preparing and staging tools, equipment, and supplies. Operate equipment such as chainsaws, woodchippers, and stump grinders. Safely manage ropes and rigging during tree removal and pruning operations. Clear and dispose of brush, logs, and debris from job sites. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment. Maintain a safe and organized work area in compliance with ANSI and OSHA standards. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or outdoor labor (preferred but not required). Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in varying outdoor conditions. Familiarity with power tools and basic mechanical knowledge (preferred). Strong commitment to safety and following instructions. Valid driver's license is required.
