Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape Technician to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of landscaping, groundskeeping, and hardscape tasks to ensure beautiful, healthy, and well-maintained outdoor environments. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work and commitment to safety will help create inviting landscapes that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our clients' properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and equipment operation while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep grounds pristine and healthy Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems with precision and safety adherence Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures through construction and repair work Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health management Manage irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency and plant health; troubleshoot issues as needed Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote plant growth Follow all safety procedures diligently during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal when necessary Contribute to overall grounds upkeep by performing gardening tasks and supporting landscape design projects as directed Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is highly preferred Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilizing Familiarity with landscape construction projects such as hardscape installation or repair is a plus Hands-on experience operating lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and groundskeeping machinery Understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management strategies Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously in outdoor environments involving power tools and heavy equipment Experience with snow plowing or winter landscape maintenance is advantageous but not required Join us in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant landscapes that inspire!
