Identify plants accurately to assist with horticulture tasks and ensure proper care; recognize pests and apply pesticide management safely following protocols. Follow all safety procedures diligently while operating equipment or working in outdoor environments to prevent accidents. Skills Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and maintain landscaping and groundskeeping equipment effectively. Strong landscape maintenance skills including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and hardscape installation. Experience with gardening practices, plant identification, tree care, and horticulture principles. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance equipment such as excavators. Knowledge of pesticide management protocols and safety procedures for outdoor chemical application. Construction experience is a plus for projects involving hardscape or landscape modifications. Outdoor work experience demonstrating adaptability in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards.
