A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
Total Care Montana is seeking a motivated, responsible, and safety-minded Landscaper. In this role, you will create, maintain, and enhance outdoor spaces while ensuring work is completed to a high standard. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, operate a wide range of tools and equipment, and set the example for safety and quality across the team. Strong irrigation, landscaping expertise, and sound judgment are central to this role.
Responsibilities:
Take on the responsibility of landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor spaces Design, install, and repair irrigation systems, and troubleshoot watering issues to ensure optimal plant health Operate and oversee the safe use of ground maintenance and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems Execute hardscape projects including the installation of pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures Apply fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides in accordance with label instructions and safety regulations, where applicable Ensure safety protocol is followed across the crew during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow plowing and tree trimming to maintain year-round landscape aesthetics
Experience:
Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping Strong irrigation experience preferred — installation, repair, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems Demonstrated knowledge of landscape maintenance and hardscape techniques Familiarity with the operation of groundskeeping equipment including lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems Ability to handle hand tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks Experience with fertilizer application, weed control, and pesticide management is a strong plus (applicator certification preferred) Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and leadership, with the ability to work independently and with others Join us to lead the effort in bringing outdoor environments to life!
