Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our landscapes and gardens. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of various gardening techniques and the ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively.Responsibilities:
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- Plant, cultivate, and prune trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Monitor and irrigate plants to ensure proper hydration
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of garden areas
- Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers, wood chipper
- Utilize hand tools for tasks such as digging, planting, and pruning
- Collaborate with owner to plan and execute garden projects
- You will also be requested to help with light farm work (Feeding up chickens, ducks, geese, goats and a few cows) During rainy days you may be asked to help keep barn and garage cleaned up and neat
Qualifications:
- Some experience in landscape maintenance or gardening and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of plant species, growing techniques, and lawn care practices or willingness to learn
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
- Proficiency in using hand tools for various gardening tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in outdoor environments
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively, must be able to work without constant supervision
