Greenville, NC Ready to Take the Next Step? BT Carawan is seeking an experienced commercial grounds maintenance professional who is ready to begin leading others. This is an leadership position supervising a team of Grounds Maintenance Laborers. Previous supervisory experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who understands commercial landscape maintenance, leads by example, and is ready to grow as a leader. The Operations Manager provides the daily schedule and service route. The Team Lead is responsible for organizing the team, completing the assigned work safely and efficiently, and ensuring every property meets BT Carawan standards. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a team of two to three Grounds Maintenance Laborers. Assign daily tasks and communicate clear expectations. Train and coach team members in proper work methods and equipment operation. Maintain crew safety, productivity, quality, and professionalism. Execute the daily commercial property route provided by the Operations Manager. Keep the team on pace to meet established production times. Ensure all contracted grounds maintenance services are completed properly. Perform a final walkthrough and correct missed work before leaving each property. Prepare and inspect the assigned truck, trailer, equipment, tools, and materials. Keep company vehicles and equipment clean, organized, and properly secured. Report delays, property concerns, equipment problems, damage, and incidents promptly. Complete daily timekeeping, service notes, photographs, inspections, and reports through the company's mobile app. Greet customers and property representatives professionally. Direct all service requests, complaints, and requested changes to the office. Qualifications One to two years of commercial landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred. Previous leadership experience is helpful but not required. Experience with commercial mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, pruning, and general grounds maintenance. Ability to safely operate commercial mowers and landscape equipment. Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and attention to detail. Ability to guide, train, and hold team members accountable. Ability to manage time and maintain an established production pace. Ability to communicate jobsite, staffing, and equipment concerns clearly. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Reliable personal smartphone capable of running the company's mobile app required. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to load, unload, and operate commercial landscape equipment. Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in heat, cold, humidity, rain, and changing weather conditions. Schedule Expectations This is a full-time, year-round position. Team Leads report to the BT Carawan shop each morning. Daily ending times may vary based on weather, route completion, and operational needs.
