Job Description
Job Summary Pride Landscapes provides dedicated services to the Compass Pointe community in Leland, NC. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Landscaper to oversee and execute high-quality landscaping projects while managing and working with a dedicated team of crew members. In this role, you will lead outdoor work efforts, coordinate landscape maintenance activities, and ensure all groundskeeping and horticulture standards are met. This is a hands on role working with maintenance, install, and pruning teams, along with irrigation, turf treatment, and mechanic personell. Prior professional experience is required with a minimum of 5 years in the landscape industry. This Position requires flexibility and adaptability to perform duties as-needed on a day-to-day basis as the demands of the business require. Responsibilities Lead and supervise landscaping crews to complete lawn care, planting, pruning, and grounds maintenance tasks efficiently and safely. Oversee landscape maintenance activities including irrigation management, enhancement projects, and on-going groundskeeping operations. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain healthy landscapes. Operate grounds maintenance equipment, company vehicles, and specialized tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and ground cover to ensure proper care and maintenance practices are followed. Train team members on best practices in horticulture, equipment operation, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Skills Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and groundskeeping with a strong understanding of local horticulture principles. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively in outdoor work environments. Skilled in plant identification, landscape design concepts, turf care requirements, and irrigation system management. Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on crew management, motivation, safety enforcement, and conflict resolution. Proficient in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, as well as grounds maintenance tools such as aerators, trenchers, and chainsaws. Ability to operate company vehicles and HD Trucks safely for transporting equipment or materials between job sites along with 14-20 foot trailers. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards. We offer a dedicated schedule, year round, of 40 hours per week. Payroll is W-2 and submitted weekly via direct deposit. Paid Time Off accured weekly. Holiday Pay. Sign on Bonus after 6 months of employement. Annual bonus.
