Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure pristine outdoor spaces. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health; apply horticultural best practices. Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use and maintain healthy plant growth; repair or adjust systems as needed. Conduct pest management activities following pesticide safety protocols to protect plants while ensuring safety for yourself and others. Execute seasonal tasks such as planting new greenery in spring and summer. Adhere strictly to safety procedures while handling equipment, chemicals, and performing outdoor work to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Valid North Carolina drivers license. Must have experience/knowledge with driving trucks with small and big trailers. Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape features. Ability to identify a wide variety of plants and trees; familiarity with horticulture principles. Experience operating groundskeeping machinery such as mowers, trimmers, snow plows, and other landscaping tools. Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety protocols for chemical application. Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward grounds upkeep and safety compliance.
