About Lake Norman Golf Club Lake Norman Golf Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Irrigation & Golf Course Maintenance Technician to join our Grounds team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of irrigation systems who also enjoys maintaining exceptional playing conditions on a premier golf course. If you're passionate about turf management, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in producing outstanding course conditions, we'd love to hear from you. Primary Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain the golf course irrigation system Troubleshoot irrigation issues including valves, sprinkler heads, wiring, controllers, pumps, and leaks Make repairs and adjustments to ensure efficient water management Assist with irrigation scheduling based on weather conditions and course needs Monitor turf health and identify areas requiring irrigation adjustments Perform preventative maintenance on irrigation equipment Golf Course Maintenance Duties Mow greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas Change cups, move tee markers, rake bunkers, and repair ball marks Operate maintenance equipment safely and efficiently Assist with tournament setup and special events Complete landscaping projects including trimming, edging, pruning, and debris removal Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facility Qualifications Experience with golf course irrigation systems strongly preferred Golf course maintenance or turf management experience preferred Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, pumps, sprinkler heads, and basic electrical troubleshooting Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable transportation Weekend availability required Valid driver's license required Schedule Early morning shifts Full-time position Weekend and holiday availability required Overtime opportunities available during peak season
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.58 per hour
