Position Overview U.S. Lawns is seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape Maintenance Crew Member to join our commercial landscape maintenance team. We are looking for someone with previous landscaping or lawn maintenance experience who is comfortable working outdoors, operating professional landscape equipment, and working as part of a crew. This is a hands-on field position providing routine landscape maintenance for commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and can recognize what needs to be done without requiring constant direction. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Consistent, year-round work Opportunities for additional pay and advancement Opportunity to grow into Crew Leader and other leadership positions Training on company equipment and procedures Team-oriented, respectful work environment Major Job Responsibilities Perform routine commercial landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, pruning, weeding, and property cleanup Remove trash, debris, and weeds from landscaped areas, sidewalks, curbs, and beds Maintain clean and professional-looking commercial properties Follow direction from Crew Leaders and management Complete assigned work efficiently and within scheduled route times Help load, unload, and secure equipment Fuel and properly care for company equipment Report property damage, equipment problems, or safety concerns immediately Assist with additional landscape maintenance tasks as assigned Quality & Client Awareness Take pride in the appearance and quality of completed work Learn and follow proper mowing patterns and landscape maintenance techniques Use the appropriate equipment and technique for each task Pay attention to details and correct issues before leaving a property Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while on client properties Be courteous to clients, tenants, and members of the public Direct client questions or concerns to the Crew Leader when appropriate Equipment & Technology Safely operate commercial landscape equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and other equipment Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, fueling, and securing equipment Assist with routine equipment care and preventative maintenance Learn and follow company procedures for safe equipment operation Use company timekeeping or job-related technology after training Safety Follow all company safety rules and procedures Attend and participate in required safety and tailgate meetings Wear required personal protective equipment Operate equipment safely and responsibly Immediately report accidents, injuries, property damage, or unsafe conditions What We're Looking For Previous landscaping, lawn maintenance, or grounds maintenance experience preferred Experience with commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and blowers preferred Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to maintain a productive pace throughout the workday Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities Professional and respectful attitude Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, humidity, and other varying weather conditions Regular exposure to landscape equipment, noise, dust, grass, and landscaping materials
