Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our dynamic groundskeeping team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping, gardening, and lawn care activities. Your expertise will ensure that properties are visually appealing, healthy, and safe for residents, clients, or visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of horticulture principles, landscape maintenance techniques, and the proper use of hand tools and power equipment to deliver high-quality results consistently. Duties Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth. Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching beds. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators for landscaping projects and site preparation. Install and repair hardscape features such as pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure efficient watering. Provide tree care services including trimming, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety standards. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or removal to ensure safe access during winter months. Support construction projects related to landscape design or renovation under supervision. Conduct regular landscape inspections to identify issues requiring maintenance or repair. Follow safety protocols diligently when operating equipment or handling hazardous materials. Requirements Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with lawn care practices, landscape maintenance procedures, and gardening techniques. Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., pruners, shovels) and power tools (e.g., trimmers, blowers) safely and efficiently. Experience with heavy machinery such as excavators or skid steers is preferred. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is advantageous. Understanding of hardscape construction methods including paving and wall building. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Valid driver's license with clean driving record is desirable; certification in tree care or landscaping is a plus.
