SCOPE OF WORK
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces for Tribal facilities. This role includes routine landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and grounds maintenance to ensure the efficient operation and safety of all Tribal properties, including water treatment plants, control stations, and public facilities. The Technician operates vehicles, equipment, and tools safely, adheres to safety protocols, and performs tasks independently or as part of a team, often in variable weather conditions. This position is essential to maintaining the functionality, appearance, and safety of Tribal properties.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review daily work assignments and maintain accurate daily activity logs. Operate hand and power tools, vehicles, skid steers, and other equipment safely to complete grounds keeping tasks. Mow and trim grass, weeds, hedges, shrubs, and trees around Tribal facilities. Remove leaves, debris, branches, and garbage from grounds to maintain cleanliness and safety. Water landscaping and key infrastructure areas, including water treatment plants, booster vaults, control stations, and storage tanks. Conduct snow removal using hand shovels, snow blowers, or skid steers during winter months. Follow all safety procedures and report any incidents, injuries, or accidents immediately. Perform additional grounds keeping duties as assigned to support facility operations.
