Job Description

ClearPath Lawn & Snow is hiring an experienced Lawn Care & Snow Crew Lead to lead crews throughout the lawn and snow seasons. We are looking for someone with strong commercial lawn-care experience who can manage a crew, keep routes moving efficiently, maintain quality standards, and transition into a leadership role during winter snow operations. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work alongside your crew and be responsible for ensuring assigned properties are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a commercial lawn maintenance crew Lead assigned crews and routes during snow and ice events Complete mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, bed maintenance, cleanups, and other landscape work Operate commercial zero-turn/stand-on mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment Keep crews organized and routes on schedule Assign tasks and provide direction to crew members Perform quality checks before leaving each property Ensure required property completion photos are taken Prepare trucks, trailers, equipment, and materials before routes begin Properly load, secure, and transport equipment Communicate delays, equipment problems, property concerns, or staffing issues to management Help train new and existing crew members Maintain safe work practices and ensure company procedures are followed Snow Season Responsibilities During the winter, the Crew Lead will help lead snow and ice removal operations for commercial properties. Responsibilities may include operating and overseeing plow trucks, skid steers, loaders, SnowRators, snowblowers, sidewalk equipment, and salting operations. Crew Leads must be able to keep their assigned properties/routes moving during snow events, communicate with management, direct crew members, monitor quality, and ensure properties are serviced according to the assigned snow plan. Snow events may require overnight, early-morning, weekend, holiday, and extended-hour availability. Requirements 3-5 years of professional lawn care/landscaping experience required Previous Crew Lead or Foreman experience required Leadership experience in snow removal strongly preferred Commercial snow-removal equipment experience preferred Strong experience operating commercial lawn equipment Valid driver's license Comfortable driving a work truck and pulling a trailer Ability to lead employees while working alongside the crew Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Dependable and punctual Ability to work independently without constant supervision Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical outdoor work Must communicate with management regarding delays, route issues, or potential overtime What We're Looking For We need someone who can take ownership of a crew and route. You should already understand professional lawn maintenance and be comfortable making decisions in the field, keeping employees productive, identifying quality issues, and communicating with management. During winter, we need someone who can bring that same leadership to snow and ice operations, including directing employees during active snow events and making sure assigned properties are serviced properly and safely.
