Job Description
Job Summary Knowles Tree Service is currently looking for a motivated and reliable Tree Climber/Groundsman to assist in various tree care operations. The specific responsibilities will vary depending on experience and qualifications. This position involves working outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing climbing skills and ground-based techniques to perform tree care, removal, pruning, and stump grinding. You will collaborate with crew to deliver exceptional service while adhering to safety standards. Duties Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks. Conduct rigging operations for tree removal or limb disassembly, ensuring stability and safety throughout the process. Operate and maintain chainsaws and other power tools responsibly for cutting, trimming, or removing trees and branches. Coordinate with ground crew to ensure safe and efficient operations Ground work, including brush dragging, debris removeal, and site cleanup Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to industry standards. Work effectively as part of a team; communicate clearly with team members and clients Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience; a focus on tree care, landscaping, or construction preferred. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence during all outdoor activities. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn Valid driver's license/ CDL A a plus; ability to obtain one is a requirement Proven proficiency in operating power tools such as chainsaws preferred 1-2 years climbing experience preferred Proficiency in rope and saddle climbing techniques Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in various outdoor conditions.
