Job Description
VK Earthworks Clearing Co. is seeking an experienced Weed Wacker / Edging Specialist to join our landscaping crew. We are specifically looking for someone who is highly skilled with a commercial weed wacker/string trimmer and exceptional at edging . This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing sharp, clean lines and a professionally finished property. What We're Looking For The right candidate must be able to: Operate a commercial weed wacker/string trimmer confidently and efficiently Produce clean, straight, professional edges along sidewalks, curbs, driveways, garden beds, fences, buildings, and other property boundaries Trim closely around trees, signs, fences, landscaping, AC units, and other obstacles without damaging property Maintain consistent cutting height and avoid scalping lawns Handle overgrown grass and weeds efficiently Work at a steady, productive pace throughout the day Keep up with a professional landscaping crew Identify areas that require detailed trimming without having to be constantly directed Properly operate and care for landscaping equipment Follow safety procedures and use required PPE This Is a Skill-Based Position We are looking for someone who is exceptionally good with a weed wacker , particularly when it comes to edging and detail work. You should be able to look back at a completed property and see crisp edges, clean fence lines, properly trimmed obstacles, and no obvious missed areas . Speed is important, but quality and control are equally important . We do not want rushed work that results in scalped grass, damaged siding, damaged fences, stripped trees, or uneven edges. Preferred Experience Previous professional landscaping or lawn-maintenance experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with extensive experience performing commercial or residential trimming and edging will receive priority consideration.
